An IBAN statement is an official bank document that confirms your bank account details. Uploading one is a required step before you can start trading on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) through Thndr — it is used to register your account for dividend payments from ADX-listed stocks.
This step comes after your account is approved and takes only a few minutes to complete.
Why your IBAN statement is required
ADX requires all registered investors to have a verified bank account on file to receive cash dividends from ADX-listed companies. Your IBAN statement is how Thndr verifies that the bank account you’ve provided belongs to you.

The following official bank documents are accepted as an IBAN statement:
Stamped IBAN letter — an official letter issued by your bank, stamped and showing your IBAN and full name
Bank statement — an official account statement showing your IBAN, full name, and bank account details
Document requirements
Your IBAN statement must meet all of the following to be accepted:
Your full name clearly visible — must match the name on your Thndr account
Your IBAN clearly visible — the full IBAN number must be legible
Issued by a recognised bank — informal or personal documents will not be accepted
How to upload your IBAN statement
Your IBAN statement is uploaded through the My Documents section of the Thndr app.
Open the Thndr app and navigate to my hub then choose my documents.
Tap on IBAN Statement and then upload your document. Ensure the full document is visible and all text is clearly legible.
Review the disclaimer and tap Confirm to submit.
Important: Before submitting, you will see a confirmation screen explaining that the bank account linked to your IBAN statement will be used for all dividend payments. If the IBAN on your statement differs from a bank account you previously entered, you will be registered with the bank account you added to the wallet and chose as a dividends-receiving bank account.
Once submitted, your document will be reviewed by the Thndr team. You will be notified once it is accepted or if any action is required.

IBAN statement review times may vary. You will receive a notification once your document has been reviewed. If your document is rejected, you will be notified of the reason and can re-upload a corrected version.
