UAE - How to Withdraw from your Thndr Wallet (ADX)

Learn how withdrawals work in your Thndr US Wallet, including the available method, processing time, cut-off time, and possible delays.

This article applies to withdrawals from Thndr US Wallets only and covers the available withdrawal method, processing timeline, eligibility requirements, and what happens after a withdrawal request is submitted.

Before you withdraw

A few conditions apply to all withdrawals:

  • Settled balance only. Your wallet balance must be settled before you can request a withdrawal.

  • Your account only. Withdrawals must be transferred to a bank account under your own name.

  • Minimum amount. The minimum withdrawal amount is 45 AED.

  • IBAN verification required. An IBAN statement is required before your first withdrawal to any bank account, to confirm account ownership.

  • The amount resulting from a sell order is settled and available for withdrawal 2 days after the sell order.

Note: There are no withdrawal limits on Thndr — you can withdraw your full available balance at any time, subject to the minimum above.

Withdraw to a bank account

Step 1: Add your bank account (one-time setup)

You only need to do this once for each bank account you want to use.

  1. Open the Wallet tab.

  2. Tap Transfer.

  3. Select Bank transfers.

  4. Tap Add a bank account.

  5. Enter your details (IBAN or account number).

Note: There is a 4-hour security cooldown after adding a new account. You can submit your first withdrawal once this period ends.

You can add multiple bank accounts. Each requires a one-time setup, then becomes instantly selectable for future withdrawals.

IBAN statement requirement: If you add a new bank account for withdrawal, you'll need to provide an IBAN statement for that account before you can withdraw to it for the first time. You can upload this document from My Documents under My Hub in the app.

Step 2: Submit a withdrawal request

After setup, use these steps for all future withdrawals to a verified bank account.

  1. Go to Wallet.

  2. Tap Transfer.

  3. Select your verified bank account.

  4. Enter the amount.

  5. Tap Continue to submit.

Withdrawal fees

For withdrawals to bank accounts inside the UAE, Thndr charges a flat fee of 10.5 AED.

For withdrawals to bank accounts outside the UAE, Thndr does not charge a withdrawal fee. However, please note that third-party bank fees may apply to any withdrawal from banks included in the transfer (including intermediary banks).

What can delay a withdrawal

  • Destination outside the UAE. International transfers can take up to 3–5 business days to arrive, compared to same-day for UAE bank accounts.

  • Holidays. Public holidays — in the UAE or in the receiving country — may add delays to transfer times.

  • Missing IBAN statement. Withdrawals to a newly added bank account will be held until the required IBAN statement is uploaded and verified.

  • Security cooldown. Withdrawals cannot be submitted within 4 hours of adding a new bank account.

What to do if a withdrawal has not arrived

If a withdrawal is marked complete on the app but did not reach your bank account yet and the expected time for the transfer to reach your account has passed, please contact support and they will provide a swift copy for the transfer.
