Opening a US market account on Thndr requires completing an identity verification process. Having the right documents ready before you start means you can complete the Account Opening Form in just a few minutes.

All documents must be captured live within the Thndr app. Screenshots, scans, or photos of photos will not be accepted.

The type of ID you need depends on your country of residence.

Note: Your document must be valid and all text must be legible. Ensure the document is well-lit when capturing it in the app.

Proof of address is required to verify your residential address and the country you selected during signup.

Accepted documents:

Requirements: the document must be issued within the last 6 months, your full name and address must be clearly visible, and the address must match the country of residence you selected during signup.

A TIN is required if you reside outside Egypt and GCC countries, to meet international tax reporting requirements. If you do not have a TIN, you can select the relevant reason to continue your application.

Note: Customers who selected Egypt or a GCC country as their country of residence are automatically skipped past the TIN step during account opening.

To complete your account opening without delays, have these ready before you begin:

1. Go to "My Hub"
2. Under "Account" click on "My documents"
3. Follow the hints to take a picture and upload your passport (must be valid)
4. Switch the market from the flag button at the top
5. Top up in USD
6. Attempt to purchase any stock and accept the terms and conditions.

Your US market access will then be activated once your passport is approved.
Access to the US market is brought through Thndr Financial Ltd’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) license based in ADGM. *

UAE residents applying for a US market account on Thndr are required to submit their Emirates ID as the identification document during the account opening process.

Proof of address is required for US market account opening on Thndr. The document must be issued within the last 6 months, show your full name and address clearly, and match the country of residence you selected during signup. Accepted documents include utility bills, tenancy agreements, and bank statements.

A Tax Identification Number (TIN) is required for customers residing outside Egypt and GCC countries, to meet international tax reporting requirements. Customers residing in Egypt or GCC countries are automatically skipped past this step during account opening.

The US market on Thndr requires a minimum age of 18 years. Customers under 18 are not eligible to open a US market account.

Thndr does not currently support account opening for US citizens. Only non-US citizens are eligible to apply for a US market account on Thndr.
