ThndrX Home Page: Account and Performance tabs

A guide to the Account and Performance tabs on the Home page using the ThndrX desktop, including current portfolio information, return analytics, historical stock-trading performance, and how the different P/L figures are calculated.

Overview

The Home page on ThndrX desktop includes two tabs for reviewing account activity and performance:

  • Account — shows the current account and portfolio state, including positions, cash, open orders, and Return Analytics

  • Performance — analyzes historical stock-trading activity using realized results from completed trades

The two tabs answer different questions.

Use Account to understand the current portfolio and overall returns.

Use Performance to analyze historical stock-trading results and trading behavior.

📝 Note: Return figures on Account and Performance measure different activity and are not expected to match.

Account Tab

The Account tab provides a current view of the Thndr account.

Account information includes:

  • Account Summary

  • portfolio value

  • cash balance

  • current positions

  • portfolio allocation

  • open orders

  • Return Analytics

The Account tab combines current portfolio information with return data across supported products.

Account Summary (Account tab)

The Account Summary section shows your Total Account Value and a breakdown across all Thndr products:

  • Total Account Value — the combined value of all your investments and cash across Stocks, Funds, Clouds, and Cash

  • Stocks — the current market value of your stock positions, with daily change in percentage and EGP

  • Funds — the current value of your mutual fund holdings, with daily change in percentage and EGP

  • Clouds — the current value of your Thndr Savings balance, with daily change in percentage and EGP

  • Cash — your available cash balance, with daily change in EGP

Each card shows that product's value as a percentage of your Total Account Value. Clicking any card updates the breakdown section below to show a detailed breakdown of that product.

Return Analytics (Account tab)

Return Analytics on the Account tab shows realized and unrealized returns combined across:

  • Stocks

  • Funds

  • Clouds

  • Cash

Return Analytics on ThndrX uses the same return view available in the Thndr app.

Return Analytics provides a broader portfolio-level measure than the Total Returns metric on the Performance tab.

Position P/L (Account tab)

Each open stock position on the Account tab can show an individual P/L.

Position P/L represents the unrealized profit or loss on the currently open stock position.

Position P/L does not include previously realized gains or losses from closed trades.

Open Orders(Account tab)

The Open Orders section on the Account tab provides access to eligible orders that have not completed.

Available order actions depend on the current order state.

Eligible orders can be cancelled from Open Orders using the cancel action and confirmation flow.

For full order-state and order-management details, see How to place, edit, and cancel an order on ThndrX desktop.

Performance Tab

The Performance tab provides a historical analysis of stock-trading activity.

Performance covers stock trades only.

Returns from Funds, Clouds, and Cash are not included in Performance metrics.

The Performance tab contains four sections:

  • Performance Summary

  • PNL Calendar

  • Stocks Performance

  • Trading Journal

Each section has a timeframe selector.

What each Performance section counts

The Performance sections do not all use the same trading activity.

Performance Summary

Uses fully closed stock trades only.

Partial sells are not included.

PNL Calendar

Uses every sell transaction, including partial sells.

Stocks Performance

Uses fully closed stock trades only.

Partial sells are not included.

Trading Journal — Full Trades

Shows fully closed positions.

A partial sell does not create a Full Trade entry until the full position has been closed.

Trading Journal — Sell History

Shows every sell transaction individually, including partial and full sells.

Sync Period (Performance tab)

The Sync Period control links the timeframe selectors across the Performance sections.

When Sync Period is enabled, changing the timeframe in one section changes the timeframe across all Performance sections.

Available timeframes include:

  • 1 Month

  • 3 Months

  • 6 Months

  • 1 Year

  • All Time

Performance Summary

The Performance Summary provides statistical analysis of fully closed stock trades during the selected timeframe.

Partial sells are not included.

Performance Summary metrics are organized into three groups:

  • Performance

  • Trade Quality

  • Activity

📝 Note: A metric with a denominator of 0 displays a dash (—).

Performance metrics

Total Returns

Total Returns is the net realized result of fully closed stock trades during the selected period, expressed in EGP.

Total Returns does not include:

  • unrealized P/L

  • Funds

  • Clouds

  • Cash

Profit Factor

Profit Factor compares total profits from winning trades with total losses from losing trades.

Profit Factor is calculated as:

Total profits from winning trades ÷ Total losses from losing trades

A value:

  • below 1.0 means total losses exceeded total profits

  • equal to 1.0 means total profits and losses were equal

  • above 1.0 means total profits exceeded total losses

Expectancy

Expectancy represents the average result per trade in R-multiples.

R represents the average loss on losing trades.

Expectancy is calculated as:

(Average Win ÷ Average Loss × Win Rate) − (1 × Loss Rate)

A positive value represents a positive average result per trade. A negative value represents a negative average result per trade.

Trade Quality metrics

Win Rate

Win Rate is the percentage of fully closed trades that ended with a positive result.

Risk/Reward Ratio

Risk/Reward Ratio compares the average profit on winning trades with the average loss on losing trades.

A Risk/Reward Ratio of 2.0 means the average winning trade was twice the size of the average losing trade.

Avg Win

Avg Win is the average profit across winning trades, expressed in EGP.

Avg Loss

Avg Loss is the average loss across losing trades, shown as an absolute value in EGP.

Activity metrics

Avg Trade Size is the average amount invested per trade, expressed in EGP.

Avg Trade Duration

PNL Calendar (Performance tab)

The PNL Calendar organizes realized profit and loss by time period.

Three views are available:

  • Monthly — displays a full year by month

  • Weekly — displays a quarter by week

  • Daily — displays a month by day

Use the navigation arrows to move between periods.

A period containing sell activity shows:

  • total realized P/L

  • number of sells

Selecting a period opens a detailed breakdown of sells during that period.

Sell details include:

  • stock symbol

  • exit date

  • exit price

  • volume

  • P/L

  • P/L %

📝 Note: PNL Calendar includes every sell transaction, including partial sells.

The Trading Journal provides a historical record of stock-trading activity.
