The Chart tab on ThndrX desktop uses TradingView charting tools.

Three controls determine how price data appears:

Chart type, timeframe, and interval selections are saved as part of the current chart layout.

The Chart type selector in the top toolbar changes the visual format of the price chart.

Supported chart types include TradingView chart formats such as:

The default chart types on ThndrX are Candlestick and Line.

The timeframe selector in the top toolbar controls the period represented by each candle or data point.

Available timeframes include:

Custom timeframes outside the supported list are not currently available on ThndrX.

The interval selector at the bottom left of the chart controls the total date range visible on the chart.

Available intervals include:

Selecting an interval changes the visible date range and automatically adjusts the candle period to an appropriate level for that range.

For example, selecting 1D displays roughly one trading day of price action using a short candle timeframe.

Timeframe and interval control different parts of the chart.

The timeframe controls how much time each candle or data point represents.

Examples:

The interval controls how much historical time appears on screen.

Examples:

A chart can therefore show a one-year interval using daily candles, or a one-day interval using minute candles.

Chart type, timeframe, and interval selections are saved as part of the current chart layout.

Switching to another saved layout may display different selections.

Changing stocks within the same layout keeps the current chart type, timeframe, and interval settings.

Every chart type available in TradingView is supported on ThndrX, including candlestick, bar, line, area, HLC area, baseline, hollow candles, Heikin Ashi, Renko, Kagi, Point & Figure, Line break, columns, high-low, step line, and line with markers. For definitions and use cases for each chart type, refer to TradingView's documentation.

Custom timeframes outside the default list of minutes, hours, and days intervals are not currently supported on ThndrX.

A timeframe controls the period covered by each candle on the chart (for example, one candle per minute or one candle per day). An interval controls the total date range visible on the chart (for example, one day of price action or one year of price action). The chart automatically picks an appropriate candle period when an interval is selected.

Intraday timeframes on ThndrX retain a limited window of history. 1-minute data goes back the last [X days — TECH TO CONFIRM], after which no earlier 1-minute candles are available. To see further back, switch to a longer timeframe such as 1 hour, 1 day, or 1 week.

Chart type, timeframe, and interval selections are saved as part of the current chart layout, not per stock. Switching stocks within the same layout preserves the selections.
