Understanding the Trade Page on the ThndrX Desktop

A guide to the four panels on the ThndrX desktop Trade page, the widget each panel contains, and how the desktop layout behaves.

The Trade page on ThndrX desktop is the main trading interface for the web platform when viewed on a desktop browser.

The desktop Trade page is organized into four main panels:

  • Left panel — Listing widget

  • Center panel — Insights widget

  • Right panel — Overview and Trade

  • Bottom panel — Trade Management widget

The Listing Widget (Left Panel on Desktop)

The left panel hosts the Listing widget, which displays a scrollable list of stocks. It is the navigation anchor for the Trade page — selecting a stock in the list updates every linked widget on the page to that stock.

Selecting a stock from the Listing widget pulls the relevant information for that stock into the Insights, Overview, Trade, and Trade Management panels on the desktop Trade page.

The listing widget (left panel) can be collapsed and resized independently using the controls on the edge of each panel.

For details about available lists, stock selection, and toolbar controls see Understanding the Listing widget on ThndrX Desktop.

📝 Note: You can select a different stock from any widget, not just the Listing widget. Clicking a stock ticker in any panel opens the stock search modal. When you select a stock, all linked widgets update automatically to show information for that stock.

Insights Widget (Center Panel on Desktop)

The center panel of the ThndrX desktop Trade page contains the Insights widget.

The Insights widget is the main research area of the Trade page and includes:

  • Advanced Charts — TradingView-powered charts and charting tools

  • Advanced Financials — company financial information

The Insights widget is always visible in the desktop Trade page layout and cannot be collapsed.

See Understanding the Insights Widget on ThndrX Desktop for an overview. Separate Advanced Chart and Advanced Financials articles provide more detailed guidance for each tab.

Overview and Trade (Right Panel on Desktop)

The right panel of the ThndrX desktop Trade page switches between two modes using the Overview and Trade tabs.

Overview

The Overview tab displays a summary of information about the currently selected stock.

Trade

The Trade tab contains:

  • Order Pad — used to place buy and sell orders

  • Market Depth — displays the live order book and trades book

Within the right panel, the Order Pad and Market Depth widgets can be collapsed independently.

For detailed guidance, see Understanding the Overview widget on the ThndrX Desktop, Understanding the Order Pad on the ThndrX Desktop, and Understanding the Market Depth Widget on the ThndrX Desktop.

Trade Management (Bottom panel on Desktop)

The bottom panel of the ThndrX desktop Trade page contains the Trade Management widget.

Trade Management provides access to:

  • Positions

  • Orders

  • Alerts

  • Trades history

  • Transactions

The Trade management widget (bottom panels) can be collapsed and resized independently using the controls on the edge of each panel.

For details about each tab, see Understanding Trade Management on the ThndrX Desktop.

Panel Adjustments on the ThndrX Desktop Trade Page

The panels on the ThndrX desktop Trade page can be adjusted to change how much space each area occupies.

Listing, Overview & Trade, and Trade Management widgets (left, right, and bottom panels, respectively) can be collapsed and resized independently using the controls on the edge of each panel.

The center Insights widget cannot be collapsed and remains visible at all times.

Within the right panel, the Order Pad and Market Depth widgets can also be collapsed independently.

The ThndrX desktop Trade page remembers the last layout state. Your panel arrangement, selected widgets, and mode selections are restored the next time you return to the Trade page.
