Understanding the Listing Widget on the ThndrX Desktop

A guide to the Listing widget on the ThndrX desktop Trade page, including list sources, search, sorting, watchlists, and stock actions.

The Listing widget is the left panel of the ThndrX desktop Trade page.

The Listing widget displays a scrollable list of stocks and acts as the main stock selector for the Trade page. The scrollable list of stocks is retrieved from a source you select, such as a Watchlist, Market Index, Screener, or Market Watch.

Selecting a stock from the Listing widget updates all other panels on the desktop Trade page with the relevant information for that stock, including the Insights, Overview, Trade, and Trade Management panels.

Choosing which stocks appear in the Listing Widget

Use the dropdown at the top left of the Listing widget to choose the list of stocks you want to display.

Available list sources include:

  • Watchlists — your personal watchlists. Open the Watchlists submenu to select an existing watchlist or create a new one.

  • Screeners — your saved custom screeners and recommended screeners.

  • Market Indices — predefined index lists, including EGX 30, EGX 70, EGX 100, EGX 30 Capped, EGX 35 LV, and Shariah.

  • Market Movers — automatically updated lists, including Top Gainers, Top Losers, Top Traded by number of shares, and Most Active by turnover value.

  • Market Watch — all stocks currently available on the market.

  • Owned — stocks you currently hold in your portfolio.

📝 Note: Changing the list source does not change the currently selected stock. The Insights widget and other linked widgets continue displaying the last selected stock until you select another stock.

Using the Listing widget toolbar

The toolbar at the top right of the Listing widget contains four controls:

Search

Use Search to find any available stock by company name or ticker.

Search is not limited to the list currently displayed in the Listing widget.

Add stocks (used for watchlists)

Use Add stocks to add or remove stocks from the currently selected watchlist.

Selecting Add stocks opens a checklist of available stocks.

Sort

Use Sort to reorder the stocks in the current list.

Available sorting options include:

  • Symbol — A to Z or Z to A

  • Price — High to Low or Low to High

  • Change — High to Low or Low to High

  • Change % — High to Low or Low to High

Full screen

Use Full screen to expand the Listing widget into a detailed table view.

The full-screen view can display additional stock data, including:

  • Traded volume

  • Total value

  • RVol

  • 52-week high

  • 52-week low

  • Sector

  • PE ratio

  • Other available stock metrics

Managing watchlists from the Listing widget

You can create a new watchlist directly from the Listing widget.

Open the Watchlists submenu and select Create Watchlist.

A watchlist can contain a maximum of 50 stocks.

Watchlists cannot be renamed or deleted from the Listing widget. To rename or delete a watchlist, go to the Watchlists page.

Selecting a stock from the Listing widget

Click a stock in the Listing widget to make it the selected stock on the Trade page.

The other widgets/panels on the Trade page update to display information for that stock, including:

  • Insights

  • Overview & Trade

  • Trade Management

Selecting a stock does not open a new page. It changes the stock currently displayed across the linked Trade page widgets.
