The Screeners page on ThndrX desktop filters EGX stocks using selected technical and fundamental criteria.
Screeners can be used in two ways:
Recommended screeners — built-in filter presets created by ThndrX
Custom screeners — user-created screeners with selected filter combinations
Screener results update in real time based on the latest available market data.
Saved screeners can also be opened from the Listing widget on the Trade page.
A screener can also be saved as a watchlist.
Note: Screeners are filtering tools, not investment recommendations. A stock appearing in a screener does not represent a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold that stock.

Each recommended screener applies a predefined set of filters.
Opening a recommended screener displays the active filters in the filter panel.
Recommended screeners update in real time as market data changes.
How recommended screeners work
Recommended screeners are fixed presets.
The original recommended screener cannot be renamed, deleted, or overwritten.
Filters can be adjusted temporarily to explore different results.
To keep a modified version, save the modified filter set as a new custom screener using Save as New.
⚠️ Important: Recommended screener names describe the filter setup only. Recommended screener names do not predict future stock direction or performance.
Creating a custom screener
To create a custom screener:
Open the Screeners page.
Click the + button.
Enter a screener name.
Confirm the new screener.
A new custom screener opens with all EGX stocks and no filters applied.
Adding filters to a custom screener
To add filters:
Open the required custom screener.
Select a filter.
Set the required minimum, maximum, slider range, or available preset.
For Sector, select one or more sectors.
Review the updated stock results.
Click Save to save the filter configuration.
The screener table updates in real time as filters change.
Use Discard to remove unsaved filter changes.
Modifying a recommended screener
Recommended screeners can be adjusted temporarily for exploration.
To save a modified version:
Open a recommended screener.
Change the required filters.
Open the dropdown next to Save.
Select Save as New.
Enter a new screener name.
Confirm the new custom screener.
The modified filters are saved as a custom screener.
The original recommended screener remains unchanged.
Saving a screener as a watchlist
A screener can be saved as a watchlist.
To save a screener as a watchlist:
Open the dropdown next to Save.
Select Save as Watchlist.
Confirm the watchlist name.
The new watchlist contains the stocks matching the screener at the time of saving.
Screener watchlist behavior
A watchlist created from a screener is a snapshot.
The stock list does not automatically change when stocks later enter or leave the screener criteria.
Market data for stocks inside the watchlist continues to update live.
For live screener results, use:
the Screeners page, or
the Listing widget on the Trade page
Watchlists created from screeners are available on ThndrX only.
Custom ThndrX watchlists do not sync to the Thndr app.
The default watchlist is the watchlist that syncs with Favorites on the Thndr app.
Renaming a custom screener
To rename a custom screener:
Right-click the custom screener tab.
Select Rename.
Enter the new name.
Confirm the change.
Recommended screeners cannot be renamed.
Deleting a custom screener
To delete a custom screener:
Right-click the custom screener tab.
Select Delete.
Confirm the deletion.
Recommended screeners cannot be deleted.
Screener table
The screener table uses the same stock data columns available in Market Watch.
All available columns are shown by default.
Select any column header to sort the screener results by that metric.
Stock actions from a screener
Selecting a stock row opens the Overview side panel for the selected stock.
Right-clicking a stock opens additional actions, including:
Add price alert
Trade
Add to watchlist
Using screeners on the Trade page
Saved screeners and recommended screeners can be opened from the Listing widget on the Trade page.
To open a screener from the Listing widget:
Open the Trade page.
Open the source selector in the Listing widget.
Select Screeners.
Choose the required screener.
Screener results in the Listing widget update live as market data changes and stocks enter or leave the selected filter criteria.
