The Market Depth widget is part of the Trade panel on the right side of the ThndrX desktop Trade page.
It shows live market activity for the currently selected stock through:
the Order Book — open Buy and Sell orders waiting in the market
the Trades Book — recently executed trades
The Market Depth widget can be collapsed vertically to give more space to the Order Pad. The entire Trade panel can also be collapsed horizontally.
Order Book
The Order Book shows open Buy and Sell orders for the currently selected stock, grouped by price level.
Each price level includes:
Price — the price of the open orders
Qty — the total number of shares waiting to be filled at that price
Split — the number of separate orders that make up the total quantity at that price
Ask prices appear above the current price, while bid prices appear below it.
A colored bar behind each row shows the relative size of the order quantity at that price level compared with the other visible price levels.
A longer bar means there is a larger quantity of shares waiting at that price relative to the other visible levels.
Bid and Ask percentages
At the top of the Order Book, the Market Depth widget shows the percentage of visible orders on the bid side and the ask side.
These percentages represent the relative share of visible Buy and Sell order quantities in the Order Book at that moment.
They can help indicate the current balance between visible buying and selling interest.
📝 Note: Bid and Ask percentages reflect only the orders currently visible in the Market Depth widget and can change as orders are placed, filled, changed, or cancelled.
Trades book
The Trades Book shows a live feed of executed trades for the currently selected stock.
Each row includes:
Price — the price at which the trade was executed
Qty — the number of shares traded
Time — the time the trade was executed

FAQs
What does the Market Depth widget on ThndrX desktop show?
The Market Depth widget shows two things for the currently selected stock — the order book, which displays open buy and sell orders organized by price level, and the trades book, which displays a live feed of recently executed trades.
What do the colored bars in the order book on the ThndrX desktop represent?
The colored bars behind each price level in the order book represent the relative size of the total order quantity at that level compared to all other visible price levels. A longer bar indicates a larger concentration of orders at that price.
What do the two percentage values at the top of the order book mean?
The two percentage values show the proportion of total bid orders versus total ask orders visible in the order book. They indicate the relative balance of buying and selling pressure in the market at that moment.
How do I change the layout of the Market Depth widget?
Click the settings icon at the top right of the Market Depth widget and select a view type — Horizontal, Vertical, Ask only, or Bid only. The graph, order book, and trades book can each be toggled on or off independently from the same settings panel.
