Opening an investment account for the Egypt market requires signing regulatory agreements. These agreements are not unique to Thndr—they are a standard legal requirement set by the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) for licensed brokerage accounts.
Most users complete this step digitally. If manual signatures are required, Thndr will guide you through the next steps.
This article covers:
Why contracts are required
What agreements you are signing
Whether you need to take action now
How the signing process works
How long approval takes
Why you may be asked to sign again
Why Contracts Are Required
Contracts establish the legal relationship between you and Thndr and define how your account operates.
They help ensure:
Your orders can be placed through a licensed broker
Your investments are safely held and administered correctly
Regulatory responsibilities are clearly documented
Your account can be activated for investing and withdrawals
Signing contracts is a normal step for brokerage accounts in Egypt and is designed to protect both your ownership rights and account security.
What Agreements Are You Signing
Every user trading in the Egyptian market must sign two core agreements:
Brokerage Services Agreement
The Brokerage Services Agreement authorizes Thndr to act as your broker and execute buy and sell orders on your behalf.
Custody Services Agreement
The Custody Services Agreement authorizes Thndr to safekeep your securities and manage how dividends and other ownership-related events are handled.
In simple terms, one agreement covers placing trades, while the other covers protecting and administering the assets you own.
Together, the Brokerage and Custody agreements are required before full Thndr account activation; they must both be signed and approved before you can place your first buy order or withdraw funds.
Contract Signature During Account Opening
Signing your agreements is one of the steps required when setting up your Egypt market account on Thndr. It takes place during the account setup process before your account can be fully activated for investing and withdrawals.
How your agreements are signed depends on how your account details are verified during setup. Most users complete this digitally, while some accounts may be asked to complete a manual signature step.
Digital Signature
Most users are verified automatically using their Egyptian National ID and a mobile number registered in their name. If this applies to you, your agreements are signed digitally and emailed to you automatically—no paperwork required.
Signature Photo Upload
If we weren't able to verify your mobile number or ID scan automatically, you'll need to sign your documents manually. Manual signing does not mean there is a problem with your account. It simply means an additional verification step is needed.

Why Was I Asked to Sign Again?
Sometimes existing users are asked to re-sign updated agreements.
This usually happens when:
Regulatory requirements change
Agreement wording is updated
Account records need renewal or reconfirmation
Resigning doesn't mean there is an issue with your account. It is a periodic compliance update. FRA regulations evolve to increase investor security; re-signing ensures your account remains in good standing with the latest legal protections, that your data is current, and your Thndr services continue uninterrupted.
