What is B-Secure (BSC)?

 

B-Secure (BSC) is a low-risk, savings fund. It provides returns through investing in short and medium term fixed income products, allowing you to buy and sell certificates daily.

The fund has been active since November 3, 2022.

 


What does B-Secure invest in?

 

B-Secure invests in different fixed income instruments with the following limits on each type:




As of 31 August 2023, B-Secure has 95% of the fund invested in T-Bills & 5% invested in Deposits.

What is the difference between investing in B-Secure and Certificates of Deposit (CDs)?

Who manages B-Secure?

 

B-Secure is managed by Beltone Asset Management, a subsidiary of Beltone Financial.


Beltone Asset Management is a Leading Asset Manager in Egypt with 21.15 Billion EGP in assets under management as of June 2023.



How do I collect my B-Secure earnings?

 

The live certificate price of B-Secure reflects the return or profit achieved. 

In order to collect the earnings, you will need to sell your B-Secure certificates.



Is B-Secure Shari’a Complaint?


B-Secure is not marketed as being Shari’a compliant.



Buying & Selling 

 

Buy and sell orders made before 11:00 AM will be executed on the same day.


Buy and sell orders made after 11:00 AM will be executed the next working day, on the new day’s certificate price.


Steps to place your order:

  • Open the Thndr app 
  • Search for B-Secure or (BSC) or find it under the mutual funds theme through your Explore tab. 
  • Tap on “B-Secure”
  • Tap on Buy
  • Set the amount of certificates or the amount of money you would like to invest. There is a minimum of 5 certificates for any buy order


Fees:


There are no fund fees. There are however, fees on every buy and sell order. You can find a breakdown here.



Is the performance of B-Secure affected by or related to Beltone Stock (BTFH)?


No, B-Secure is independent of Beltone stock and it relies on fixed income investments rather than stocks.

 


What are B-Secure's expected returns?


Based on the fund’s performance on 20 September 2023, the fund’s returns can be projected as 19% annually.

What are the risk factors of investing in Funds?


Risk factors related to these types of funds are:
