Understanding Technical Calls

A guide to technical call cards, recommendation statuses, call details, performance, and updates.

A technical call is a trading recommendation published by a Rumble technical analyst.

Each technical call includes:

  • a Buy Range

  • a Final Target Price

  • a recommendation status

  • performance data

  • analyst updates

Technical calls appear on the Technical page under either:

  • Active — currently open calls

  • Past Performance — closed calls

Technical calls are available with the Trading plan and Conviction & Trading plan.

The Conviction-only plan does not include Technical Calls.

Technical call card

Each technical call appears as a card on the Technical page.

A call card shows:

  • Ticker and company name — identifies the stock

  • Recommendation status — Buy, Hold, or Take Profit

  • Expert and date — shows the analyst and the latest update date

  • Current Price — current market price

  • Target Price — target price set for the call

  • Performance or Remaining Return — shows return achieved so far or remaining return to the target

Selecting a call opens the full call detail page.

Technical call recommendation statuses

Technical calls use three recommendation statuses:

  • Buy

  • Hold

  • Take Profit

The recommendation status determines the action described by the analyst.

Buy

Buy means entry is recommended only within the specified Buy Range.

An entry outside the Buy Range does not follow the original call setup.

Hold

Hold means no new entry and no exit. The existing position remains open.

Entering a Technical Call during Hold carries additional risk whether the market price is above or below the original Buy Range.

Above the Buy Range, the entry may be further from the original risk level. Below the Buy Range, the stock may be moving toward the original stop-loss level without having confirmed the stop.

Take Profit

Take Profit means the analyst recommends closing part of the position.

Rumble Take Profit instructions close either:

  • 25% of the position, or

  • 50% of the position

Take Profit does not mean the full position has been closed.

Active and closed technical calls

A Technical Call is either Active or Closed.

Active

Active calls remain open and appear under the Active tab.

Active calls can carry:

  • Buy

  • Hold

  • Take Profit

Closed

Closed calls move to Past Performance.

The latest call update explains the reason for closing.

Closed calls also contribute to the Overall Performance metrics on the Technical page.

How Rumble manages active technical calls

Rumble technical analysts follow defined rules for managing active calls.

Active call limits

Each technical analyst can maintain:

  • up to 10 active calls in Buy or Hold

  • up to 5 additional calls in Take Profit

The maximum is 15 active calls per analyst.

Weekly Watchlist requirement

A Technical Call is issued only after an idea from a Weekly Watchlist reaches the required trigger condition.

Technical Calls are not issued outside the Weekly Watchlist process.

Maximum duration

A Technical Call remains active for no more than three months.

Eligibility criteria

Stocks must meet Rumble’s internal eligibility criteria before becoming Technical Calls.

The eligibility framework is designed to support call quality and consistent treatment across users.

Technical call detail page

Selecting a Technical Call opens the full detail page.

Three tabs are available:

  • The Story

  • Performance

  • Updates

The Story

The Story explains the technical setup behind the call.

The Story provides the analyst’s reasoning for the trade setup.

Performance

Available fields include:

Final Target Price

Final Target Price is the final price objective set for the Technical Call.

Buy Range

Stop loss visibility
