Understanding Fundamental Calls

A guide to Rumble’s fundamental stock recommendations, ratings, performance metrics, research, and updates.

A fundamental call is a single-stock recommendation published by Rumble’s fundamental analysts. Each call includes a recommendation, investment case, target price, performance data, related content, and ongoing analyst updates.

The call card

Fundamental calls appear as cards under the Active or Past Performance tabs on the Fundamental page.

Each call card includes:

  • Ticker and company name — identify the stock

  • Recommendation badge — shows Invest or Hold

  • Expert and date — show the analyst and the date the call was published or last updated

  • Remaining Return — shows the return still expected based on the current price and target

  • Performance — shows the return achieved since the call opened

  • EGX30 Capped — shows benchmark performance over the same period

  • Related Content — opens research, Market Watch, and Rumble News linked to the stock

  • New badge — marks a call with recently published content or an update

Recommendation badges

Fundamental calls use two recommendation badges:

  • Invest — the analysts recommend investing in the stock

  • Hold — the analysts recommend holding an existing position without adding to it

A recommendation can change while a call remains active.

For example, an Invest recommendation may later change to Hold. Recommendation changes are explained in the call’s Updates tab.

Active and closed calls

A fundamental call can be active or closed.

  • Active calls are open recommendations and appear under the Active tab

  • Closed calls appear under Past Performance

When a call closes, the latest update explains the reason for closing the recommendation.

The call detail page

Selecting a fundamental call opens the call detail page.

The detail page contains four tabs:

  • The Story

  • Performance

  • Updates

  • News & Content

The Story

The Story explains the investment case behind the recommendation.

Every fundamental call organizes the investment case into:

  • The Good — the positive factors supporting the investment case

  • The Bad — the main risks or negative factors

  • The Catalysts — events or developments that could affect the investment case

  • Key Metrics — important financial and operating measures used in the analysis

The Story provides the research context behind the recommendation.

Performance

The Performance tab shows the main price, return, and benchmark figures for the call.

The Performance tab includes:

  • Remaining Return — the return still expected based on the current price and target price

  • Target Price — the analysts’ 12-month target price for the stock

  • Fair Value — the analysts’ estimate of the stock’s intrinsic value

  • Performance — the return achieved since the call opened

  • EGX30 Capped — the benchmark return over the same period

  • Current Price — the latest market price shown for the stock

  • Open Price — the stock price when the call was opened

  • Opened At — the date and time the call was opened

Remaining Return

Remaining Return shows the potential return between the current stock price and the call’s target price.

Remaining Return changes as the current market price changes.

Target Price

Target Price is the analysts’ 12-month price target for the stock.

The Target Price reflects the analysts’ expected price level based on the fundamental investment case.

Fair Value

Fair Value is the analysts’ estimate of the stock’s intrinsic value based on fundamental analysis.

Fair Value and Target Price are separate measures and may differ.

Performance

Performance shows the return generated by the call since the recommendation was opened.

The figure is measured from the Open Price.

EGX30 Capped

EGX30 Capped shows the return of the benchmark index over the same period as the call.

The benchmark provides context for comparing the call’s performance with the broader market.

Updates

The Updates tab contains analyst notes published after a call opens.

Updates can include:

  • Changes to the investment case

  • Changes to the recommendation

  • New company developments

  • Earnings or financial updates

  • Changes to the target or outlook

  • The reason for closing a call

Updates appear in chronological order.

News & Content

The News & Content tab brings together content linked to the stock.

Related items can include:

  • Rumble research

  • Market Watch content

  • Rumble News

The same related items can also be accessed from the Related Content dropdown on the call card.

How to use fundamental calls

Rumble’s Fundamental Calls Guide explains the approach to following fundamental recommendations.

The guide sets out five principles:

  1. Understand what you are investing in

  2. Choose companies you believe in

  3. Keep investing in recommendations and follow the updates

  4. When things are down, double down

  5. Do not invest money needed in the near future

The Guide button on the Fundamental page opens the Fundamental Calls Guide.

When reviewing a call, The Story explains the investment case, the Performance tab shows the target and performance figures, and the Updates tab shows changes to the recommendation or investment case over time.

📝 Note: Fundamental calls reflect the analysts’ research views. Recommendations and target prices are not guarantees of future returns.
