Understanding the Financials tabs on ThndrX desktop

A guide to the Financials, Quality Factors, Valuation, Growth Rates, and Liquidity tabs on ThndrX desktop, including how to read charts, tables, period changes, and TTM values.

The Financials section on ThndrX desktop contains six tabs.

Key Stats is covered in a separate article.

This article covers the other five tabs:

  • Financials

  • Quality Factors

  • Valuation

  • Growth Rates

  • Liquidity

All five tabs use the same layout:

  • a chart at the top

  • a data table below

The chart and table update together based on the selected metric.

How the Financials tabs work

Each Financials tab uses the same chart-and-table structure.

Chart

The chart shows the metric currently selected from the table.

The chart includes:

  • Bars — metric value over time

  • Line — period-on-period percentage change

  • Left axis — metric value

  • Right axis — percentage change

Selecting a metric row in the table updates the chart to show that metric.

The metric name shown below the chart confirms the current selection.

Table

The table shows all metrics available in the selected tab.

Each column represents a financial period.

Each cell displays:

  • the metric value

  • the period-on-period percentage change below the value

Percentage changes appear:

  • green for positive change

  • red for negative change

The table displays 8 periods at a time.

Scroll left within the table to view older periods.

Switching between Annual and Quarter views

Use the Annual / Quarter toggle at the top of the Financials section to change the reporting period.

  • Annual — displays full-year financial data

  • Quarter — displays individual quarterly data

The selected view applies across all Financials tabs.

Understanding TTM

The final table column shows TTM — Trailing Twelve Months.

TTM provides a rolling annual view based on the most recent available periods, regardless of the company's financial year.

TTM calculation depends on the metric type.

Flow metrics

For flow metrics such as:

  • Revenues

  • Net Income

  • Cash Flow

  • EPS

TTM is calculated using the four most recent quarters.

Stock metrics

For point-in-time balance sheet metrics such as:

  • Total Assets

  • Total Equity

  • Total Debt

TTM shows the most recent quarter value.

Point-in-time balances are not added across quarters.

Ratios

For ratios such as margins and turnover measures, TTM is calculated from the corresponding TTM components.
