The Key Stats tab is part of Financials in the Insights widget on ThndrX desktop.
Key Stats provides a structured view of a company's financial performance relative to other companies in the same sector on the EGX.
The Key Stats tab has three main areas:
Rating System — benchmarks the company across five financial categories
Metrics Details — shows the individual financial metrics behind each category
Per Share Data — shows EPS, DPS, and BVPS as raw financial data
⚠️ Important: The Rating System is a relative sector benchmark. A Rating System score does not represent an absolute measure of company quality, financial strength, or investment merit. Rating System scores are not recommendations to buy, sell, or hold a security.
📝 Note: Key Stats is not currently available for companies in the Banking sector. Banking companies can still access the other five Financials tabs, including Financials, Quality Factors, Valuation, Growth Rates, and Liquidity.
Rating System
The Rating System compares a company with other EGX-listed companies in the same sector.
Comparisons are made within the company's sector. The Rating System does not compare companies across different sectors or against the EGX as a whole.
The Rating System scores five categories:
Financial Health — measures debt management and the ability to meet short-term obligations
Efficiency — measures how effectively company assets and revenues are converted into cash
Profitability — measures profit generation relative to company size and operations
Growth — measures changes in revenues, earnings, assets, and equity
Valuation — compares market price with earnings, book value, and cash flow measures relative to sector peers
Each category receives a score from 0% to 100%.
A higher category score represents stronger performance relative to companies in the same EGX sector.
The radar chart combines all five category scores to provide a quick view of relative strengths and weaknesses.
Reading Rating System scores
Rating System colors indicate where the company ranks relative to sector peers:
Light green — top 20% of the sector, with a score above 80%
Green — above average, with a score from 60% to 80%
Yellow — around average, with a score from 40% to 60%
Orange — below average, with a score from 20% to 40%
Red — bottom 20% of the sector, with a score below 20%
A high score only indicates a stronger relative position for that category within the same sector.
A high score does not indicate that a company is financially sound, appropriately valued, or suitable for investment.
Switching between Annual and Quarter data
Use the Annual / Quarter toggle at the top of Financials to change the reporting period.
Annual — displays full-year financial data
Quarter — displays quarterly financial data
The selected view applies to the Rating System and the other Financials tabs.
Metrics Details
The Metrics Details panel shows the individual financial metrics used within each Rating System category.
Each metric appears on a horizontal scale that positions the company's value within the sector range.
The scale contains four reference points:
Left bound — lowest value in the sector
Right bound — highest value in the sector
Grey marker — sector median
Circled number — company's value
The position of the company value shows where the selected company sits relative to sector peers.
Reading metric colors
The color of the circled company value shows how the metric compares with the sector median:
Green — company value compares favorably with the sector median
Red — company value compares unfavorably with the sector median
Grey — company value is in line with the sector median
Whether a higher or lower value is favorable depends on the metric.
For example:
higher values are generally favorable for many profitability and growth metrics
lower values may be favorable for debt measures and some valuation multiples
The color already accounts for whether a higher or lower value is considered favorable for the specific metric.
Viewing exact metric values
Hover over a metric value to display the exact data used in the comparison.
The tooltip shows:
Value — selected company's value
Industry Median — median value for the comparison group
Low — lowest value in the sector
High — highest value in the sector
Per Share Data
The Per Share Data section provides three company-level values:
EPS — Earnings Per Share — earnings allocated to each share
DPS — Dividends Per Share — cash dividends paid per share
BVPS — Book Value Per Share — accounting book value per share
Per Share Data is displayed as raw financial data.
EPS, DPS, and BVPS do not receive Rating System scores, do not use sector sliders, and do not contribute to the five Rating System category scores.
Banking sector availability
The Key Stats tab is not currently available for companies in the Banking sector because banking companies require a different financial analysis methodology.

FAQs
What does a high Key Stats Rating System score mean?
A high score means the company ranks strongly relative to other EGX-listed companies in the same sector for that financial category.
A score above 80% places the company in the top 20% of the sector for that category.
The score does not represent an absolute assessment of company quality or investment merit.
How are companies compared in the Key Stats Rating System?
Each company is compared with companies in the same EGX sector.
Cross-sector comparisons are not used in the Rating System.
What does the color of a metric value mean?
The metric color indicates whether the company value compares favorably, unfavorably, or approximately in line with the sector median.
Green represents a favorable comparison, red represents an unfavorable comparison, and grey represents a value in line with the median.
The calculation accounts for whether a higher or lower value is preferable for the specific metric.
What information appears when hovering over a metric?
The metric tooltip displays the selected company's value, the sector median, the sector low, and the sector high.
How does Annual data differ from Quarter data?
Annual displays full-year financial data.
Quarter displays quarterly financial data.
The selected reporting period applies across Financials.
What financial information is available for Banking sector companies?
Banking sector companies do not currently have a Key Stats view.
Financials, Quality Factors, Valuation, Growth Rates, and Liquidity remain available for Banking sector companies in Financials.
