Top Up Delays and Missing Deposits

Learn why a deposit may not appear in a Thndr wallet, what causes deposit delays, and how to report a delayed deposit request.

A deposit may take time to appear in your Thndr wallet depending on the top-up method, confirmation status, business days, and compliance checks.

Common Reasons for Deposit Delays

The deposit request was not confirmed in the Thndr app

After transferring money, you must submit a deposit request in the Thndr app. A transfer alone does not automatically create a deposit request.

To confirm a deposit request:

  1. Open the Thndr app.

  2. Tap Wallet.

  3. Tap Top Up (+).

  4. Select the deposit method used.

  5. Enter the transfer amount and transfer date.

  6. Upload the transfer receipt if required.

  7. Tap Confirm Deposit.

The deposit is still within the normal processing time

Processing time depends on the deposit method used.

Most InstaPay, e-wallet, bank transfer, and cash deposit requests are processed within a few hours and may take up to one business day.

Debit card deposits are usually instant when the card is supported and the transaction is successful.

Fridays, Saturdays, and official holidays do not count as business days.

The transfer came from an account that is not in your name

Deposits must usually come from a payment method registered in your own name. This requirement supports anti-money laundering compliance.

If the transfer came from a first-degree relative, such as a parent, spouse, son, daughter, or sibling, contact Thndr support so the Compliance team can review the request.

The Compliance team may accept the request or return the amount.

The transfer details do not match the deposit request

A deposit may be delayed if the amount, transfer date, transfer method, or sender details do not match the deposit request submitted in the Thndr app.

Check that the transfer receipt matches the information entered in the app.

Multiple transfers were submitted as one deposit request

Each transfer must be confirmed separately in the Thndr app.

For example, if you made two separate bank transfers of EGP 5,000 each, you should submit two separate deposit requests. Do not submit one deposit request for EGP 10,000.

What to Do If a Deposit Is Delayed

If the expected processing time has passed, start a support conversation in the Thndr app.

To report a delayed deposit:

  1. Open the Thndr app.

  2. Go to My Hub, and tap Help

  3. Tap Send Message

  4. Provide information of your sitaution and attach a clear transfer receipt if requested.

The support team will review the deposit request, transfer details, and compliance requirements.
