Overview
You can transfer US-listed stocks, ETFs, and cash between Thndr and another brokerage in either direction. US transfers use the ACATS (Automated Customer Account Transfer Service) system, which is the standard electronic transfer process used by regulated US brokers.

How to transfer shares to Thndr from another broker
To move your US stocks or ETFs into Thndr, contact support via in-app chat to begin the process.
Contact Thndr support via in-app chat and request the ACATS Form.
Sign the form — physical or digital signature required. Typed names are not accepted.
Submit a recent brokerage statement dated within the last 60 days, showing your account number and current holdings.
Fill in the form: transfer type (Full or Partial ACATS), tickers and quantities if partial, account number and title as registered with your broker, account type (Individual), date and signature.
Submit to Thndr support via in-app chat.
Our team will forward your request to Alpaca, who will initiate the transfer with your existing broker.

How to transfer shares from Thndr to another broker
To move your US stocks or ETFs out of Thndr, the receiving broker initiates the transfer on your behalf.
Contact your receiving broker and request their ACATS or DTC transfer form.
Provide your Alpaca account details to your receiving broker.
Your receiving broker initiates the transfer request directly with Alpaca.
Alpaca reviews and executes the transfer.
Note: Cancel any pending buy or sell orders on the shares you want to transfer before initiating the process.
What to expect
Once a transfer request is submitted and all documents are received, transfers are typically completed within 7–10 business days. Processing time may vary depending on how quickly your external broker responds.

Transferring shares into Thndr is free from our side. Your existing broker may charge their own transfer-out fee — check with them directly.

What can affect your transfer
Unsettled shares — shares still under settlement cannot be transferred until settlement is complete
Fractional shares — fractional holdings are not supported and cannot be transferred in any direction
Pending orders — any open buy or sell orders on the shares being transferred must be cancelled first
Expired documents — your account must have a valid, active trading code and non-expired ID before a transfer can be processed

Fractional shares cannot be transferred in any direction on the US market. Only whole share quantities are eligible for transfer.
