How to Delete My Account

Learn the requirements to close your account, how to complete each step, and what happens after you request deletion.

Closing your Thndr account is a permanent process that begins with a 30-day deactivation period. During these 30 days, your account is hidden but recoverable; after that, your data is permanently deleted.

Follow this guide to ensure a smooth exit and understand what happens to your information.

Step 1: Start the Deletion Process

To begin, navigate to the deletion screen in the app:

  1. Open the My Hub tab.

  2. Under Account, tap Settings.

  3. Tap Delete Account.

Step 2: Complete the Requirements Checklist

Once you tap Delete Account, the app will ask you to clear any active ties to your account. To proceed, you’ll need to address any outstanding requirements shown on your screen. As you resolve each item, the checkmark will turn green; once the list is complete, you can submit your final request.

Step 3: Submit Deletion Request

Immediate Deactivation: Upon submission, you will be logged out and your account will be deactivated instantly.

Step 4: The 30-Day Reconsideration Period

Closing your account is a significant step, so we provide a 30-day buffer before the deletion is finalized.

If you change your mind, you have 30 days to stop the process. Simply log back into the app with your credentials to reactivate your account.

After the 30-day window expires, your account and app data are purged from our systems and cannot be recovered.

Data Retention and Regulatory Records

While Thndr deletes your app-related data, please note that we are legally required to maintain certain records for regulatory compliance.

Information regarding your identity and trade history will remain with external entities such as the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) and MCDR, as mandated by financial law.
